Introducing RMH@Work Leaders
This resource is for companies that are interested in being part of the inaugural group of employers that earn the RMH@Work Leader badge. RMH@Work Leaders will be officially launched in Spring 2025.
A New Corporate Badge Recognizes Companies that Meet a High-Standard for Reproductive & Maternal Health Benefits
The majority of U.S. employers have been slow to recognize an urgent workplace issue – that workers increasingly expect employers to provide supportive benefits addressing reproductive and maternal health (RMH) needs. Data tells a story that requires employers to take action:
Employees rank working for a company that is values-aligned as the most important factor for thriving at work and women’s reproductive health is cited as the most pressing social issue by 71 percent of U.S. workers.
One-third of workers would forego a pay raise for a stronger benefits package for themselves and their families.
73 percent of workers would be motivated to stay at a company that offered better healthcare benefits. Relatedly, better health insurance is cited as the second most common reason a worker leaves a job (behind higher compensation).
Further, many employees report they don’t have access to the reproductive and maternal health benefits they need:
Reproductive & Maternal Health Compass (RMH Compass) is launching RMH@Work Leaders as a way for high-achieving companies to distinguish themselves by meeting a credible, third-party standard of excellence.
RMH@Work Leaders demonstrate to current and prospective employees that they have a full life-cycle range of benefits in place, providing assurance for workers that their current and future health needs will be met. RMH@Work Leaders signal values-alignment with a majority-worker population, resulting in a productive and loyal workforce, lower turnover, and the ability to attract top talent, particularly from Millenial and Gen Z workers.
In addition, early adopters of the RMH@Work Leader badge will be featured in launch collateral, promotional materials (with permission) and have media opportunities to share insights about their efforts to be a RMH@Work Leader. The official launch of RMH@Work Leaders will take place in Spring 2025 at a national business and health conference.
How to become a RMH@Work Leader:
Step 1: Complete the RMH Compass Survey.
Companies can gather responses using the worksheet version (enable Macros to have full functionality).
Learn more about the RMH Compass Survey methodology and peruse our company resources.
After submitting the survey, participants will receive a preliminary/unverified performance score and benchmark insights.
Step 2: Companies interested in a validated benchmark report or in earning the RMH@Work Leader badge will receive a link to submit documents for validation through the RMH Compass Survey: Validation Portal.
Upon submission of validation materials, a RMH Compass Research Analyst will review and verify responses.
Once a review is complete, companies are informed if they meet the threshold to obtain a RMH@Work Leader badge.
Step 3: Sign your RMH@Work Leader documentation and start using your badge.
Supportive materials are available through our corporate toolkit.
What’s the cost?
For early-adopters of the RMH@Work Leader badge, there is no fee for verification and the badge will be offered for free for one year.
