Tips for Taking the RMH Compass Survey

As you take the first step toward measuring your company’s reproductive and maternal health benefits we wanted to share some tips for taking the RMH Compass Survey.

Who Should Take the Survey?

Anyone can take the RMH Compass Survey on behalf of their company.  The survey asks detailed questions about your company’s health plan, employee benefits and workplace policies (54 questions to be exact).  To answer accurately, have an employee handbook and health plan summary available.

Having someone who works in HR or Benefits Administration take the survey ensures the most accurate and complete responses. To invite a colleague to take the survey, copy/paste the language below:

Hi! I came across the Reproductive & Maternal Health Compass (RMH Compass) Survey and thought it would be a useful resource for our company.  RMH Compass provides employers with the tools, resources, support, and recognition to provide best-in-class RMH benefits for all workers. As a nonprofit organization, their independent research and rigorous methodology ensure their tools and resources are unbiased, transparent, and credible. They suggest that someone in a HR/Benefits function completes the survey; you can learn more about RMH Compass and access the survey here.

Other Helpful Tips:

  1. If you don’t know the answer to a question, don’t worry, you can skip it for now.  At the end of the survey, you’ll have a chance to “forward” questions to colleagues who have that information.

  2. When you’re in the survey, be sure to click “Save for Later” before exiting if you haven’t finished.  This way, your data will be saved and you’ll get an email with a link to get you back to where you were when you are ready.

  3. If you’re having trouble accessing the survey or your data, email support@RMHCompass.org for help.
