Workplace Lactation Model Policies
Help build a future-ready workplace.
Since the passage of the PUMP Act in late 2022, several organizations have created comprehensive model policies.
We encourage all organizations to put in place a lactation policy that is compliant with the PUMP Act and that articulates the following:
How the employer will comply with PUMP Act requirements through facilities accommodation (providing an equipped, private, clean room to pump) and guidance on how that space is reserved
How the employee can utilize a lactation benefit, including structuring pumping time during the day and guidance on who should be informed of the pumping schedule
Below we include links to third-party created policies we have found that meet a high-standard, with clear, comprehensive and robust policies.
